The metagabbro is enclosed in a metabasalt. The 2 rocks are in equilibrium in the greenschist facies conditions,when the cooling of the Oceanic Crust is continuing (point 3 on Path). The green colour prevails in the metabasalte.

The brown magmatic pyroxenes of the metagabbro are replaced by a pale green amphibole, the actinolite.
